I have deleted a post about the University of Virginia Children’s Hospital’s policy on the treatment of transgender children. It had no place here. The Jefferson Council has no policy regarding transgender rights. Our focus is on our four pillars. That was entirely my error as editor of this blog, and I apologize for it. — JAB

No apology is due. Carry on the good work.
Agree.
Why would you think it necessary to apologize for reporting this kind of insanity?
I don’t apologize for publishing the piece on Bacon’s Rebellion, but it is not appropriate for the Jefferson Council, which has made a decision to steer clear of issues not pertinent to its four pillars. Similarly, the Jefferson Council took no position on UVa’s COVID policies.
I thought it was excellent. Very good piece.
.When I saw this piece my first thought was ‘What does this have to do with honoring and oreserving the legacy of Jefferson.’
i think thats what the focus should be on. Otherwise there is the risk of ‘spreading ourselves too thin” and getting caught in arguments over other controversial issurs.
Why apologize for telling the truth? The woke left has not apologized for their policies that have created open borders, rampant crime in cities, critical race theory, etc.
